In a world facing increasingly pressing environmental, social, economic and technological challenges, sustainability has become a major imperative for all stakeholders.
The need to reinvent current models of investment, production, consumption and ecosystem management now represents an inevitability and is inevitable in order to face the recent ecological, economic and social crises.
The principles of sustainability, particularly through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015 (United Nations, 2015), are essential references intended to guide both public and government policies and private initiatives.
To respond to these challenges and offer resilient and inclusive solutions, responsible entrepreneurship, innovative ecosystems and sustainable destinations present themselves as three strategic levers and intrinsic pillars to a responsible common future.
1. Objectives:
This Edition of Ph.D Days aims to be an active and rotating platform for debate around recent advances, exchange of ideas, research, studies, good practices and transformative solutions that address the complex challenges of an optimal, sustainable and harmonious balance combining economic, social, environmental and technological development.
The Symposium aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration between academics, researchers, practitioners, policy makers and experts in order to explore the most innovative solutions, strategies, perspectives and models ensuring sustainability, inclusion, synergy and resilience of ecosystems for a more responsible future.
2. Issues and Challenges
The main issues of the CIDED-25 edition are:
- Reconcile entrepreneurship with the imperatives of sustainability, by creating economic models that take into account the triple dimension of sustainability (environmental, social and economic).
- Promote sustainable destinations as spaces where entrepreneurial dynamics and the principles of sustainable development meet to offer inclusive and innovative growth models.
- Analyze the economic, environmental and social impacts of responsible entrepreneurship in the context of sustainable destinations.
- Stimulate innovation by identifying levers for integrating sustainable development principles into entrepreneurial strategies and destination management.
- Promote dialogue between researchers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, policy makers and local communities to define concrete actions in favor of sustainability.
- Foster networking among participants to create opportunities for future collaboration in building sustainable and resilient ecosystems.
- Promote cooperation between the different actors of local ecosystems (entrepreneurs, public authorities, research institutions, national and international organizations, citizens) to create synergies leading to positive transformations
